Into The Void...

"Rocket engines burning fuel so fast
Up into the night sky they blast
Through the universe the engines whine
Could it be the end of man and time?
Back on earth the flame of life burns low
Everywhere is misery and woe
Pollution kills the air, the land and sea
Man prepares to meet his destiny "

What do Fishing and Sabbath have in common? More than you would think! Sometimes on my quixotic ventures into the Atlantic it feels as if Geezer Butler himself is down there sending long low waves, a deep groove.  Other times I feel Cliff Burton is down there soloing some distorted, tooth rattling stay at the dock shit.

Reaching Into the Void is what fishing is all about.  Exploring the unknown with hope and purpose. What do you know about yourself if you do not do this???   For me life without  the hopeful exploration of fishing is a slow death.

Hopefully I will document some elbow deep trips Into the Void with this blog.  There is no more fulfilling feeling than that of reaching out in an often desperate attempt and being met head on by 200lbs of perspective. The broken cup is instantly full.  Here is one such moment.
